Where no one is afraid to show their face
Thoughts are spoken and received with grace
Like it used to be
It’s a shame ‘cause the Earth is fine
Will still be here after people are gone
But you can’t make a leopard change its spots
If it thinks nothing’s wrong

Why can’t we learn from lessons of the past
Instead of cuttin’ through the same old path
What’s wrong with simply learning to laugh?
How far more human we all would be
If like the animals we could see
But today is a strange reality

Trudging towards a glistening sight
In a desert full of fight
Just another tantalizing delight
That slowly dissolves
Too many memories swirl around
Of a time when a man could be proud
Now he carries the fear of making a sound
On his lonely march home
