© & ℗ 2015, 2016 Craig Hallen Music Written by Craig Hallen I think that I’ve long forgotten What it’s like to love Wanting something so bad The world is no longer enough I know the future holds The chance of respite That takes away my fears But till then I’m losing time For it seems the night has come Much earlier than I had ever planned I’ll close my eyes then I will know What it’s like to be the king of my own land Master of my world, leader of the band King of my own land I’ve stepped beyond all the shadows Caught a glimpse of what might be Marched towards the light of the morning sun To burn away this dark inside of me Sometimes I wonder If I’d made a different choice Would I be sitting here today Singing with another voice? For it seems the night has come Much earlier than I had ever planned I’ll close my eyes then I will know What it’s like to be the king of my own land Master of my world, leader of the band King of my own land

Ruby 03:22
© & ℗ 2012, 2018 Craig Hallen Music Written by Adam Dauphin / Peter Dobson / Craig Hallen Ruby was a small-town girl With big dreams in her head She went to conquer Hollywood With small-town discontent By seventeen, the fame machine Had put her on the silver screen And Ruby said: Hey, Bliss We’ll strike a deal Rescue me from all that’s real ‘Cause this small-town soul Can’t hold the things it wants to feel One kiss, and I’ll be yours Bliss............................ Ruby gave it everything Inhaled even more Sued a dozen magazines Just for keeping score She played the boys and played around Never kept a husband down ‘Cause Ruby swore: Hey, Bliss We’ll strike a deal Rescue me from all that’s real ‘Cause this small-town soul Can’t hold the things it wants to feel One kiss, and I’ll be yours Bliss............................ Ruby tripped and fell When fate got in her way She hit the ground with all the weight Of all her yesterdays And as she took her final bow Ruby wasn’t backing down And Ruby prayed: Hey, Bliss Let’s strike a deal Rescue me from all that’s real ‘Cause this small-town soul Can’t hold the things it wants to feel One kiss, and I’ll be yours Bliss............................ One kiss, and I’ll be yours Bliss............................

© & ℗ 2006, 2016 Craig Hallen Music Written by Craig Hallen Jenny’s secret is that, she loves me I know she won’t tell me, anytime soon Jenny’s secret is that, she wants to be with me She won’t say it, but I know it’s true Jenny I want to tell you, the same thing I’ve got the same secret that, you’ve been keeping Jenny’s secret is that, she loves me But maybe I’m gonna have to say it first Jenny I want to tell you, the same thing I’ve got the same secret that, you’ve been keeping Jenny’s secret is that, she loves me But I know she won’t tell me, anytime soon When she goes I know Well it will be too late She won’t say the word And I can no longer wait - hey! Jenny’s secret is that, she loves me I know she won’t tell me, anytime soon I know she won’t tell me, anytime soon Yeah, I know she’s not gonna tell me, anytime soon

The Look 05:02
© & ℗ 2016 Craig Hallen Music Written by Craig Hallen / Murray Knock Just when I thought you hadn’t seen me I was down feelin’ the strain Just when I thought the moment had gone You looked my way and my life changed At first it was all so unreal I adored you from afar ‘Cause being so close felt like torture Like an out of reach candy jar Looks are given freely Looks can change your life Looks they can be savoured Or just as easily cast aside Be careful where yours land next time Lived for the thrill of being with you Could have sworn you were heaven sent You reminded me of an angel Pure, sweet and innocent We spent some time alone together Though other people filled the room Admiring you from the very back row My sunshine amidst the gloom Looks are given freely Looks can change your life Looks they can be savoured Or just as easily cast aside Be careful where yours land next time I tried to find a little courage Like the story with Dorothy One moment in time walking the line I had to let my heart run free To you I was merely a stranger While you were all the rage But I was prepared to risk everything For an appearance on your stage Looks are given freely Looks can change your life Looks they can be savoured Or just as easily cast aside - ohohoh Looks are given freely Looks can change your life Looks they can be savoured Or just as easily cast aside Be careful where yours land next time - wohohoh Be careful where yours land next time

© & ℗ 2011, 2017 Craig Hallen Music Written by Craig Hallen I’m tired of pretending I’m living in a comic strip DC and Marvel have their heroes This disguise I’m wearing Belongs in a fantasy world Without broken hearts and mortals ‘Cause I’m no superhero It still hurts when I hit the ground I’m tired of taking the fall Well I’m no superhero at all I’ve tried to run faster Along uneven ground But I already know I’m no crusader The weight is still heavy And it’s been wearing me down I’m no ten foot tall defender ‘Cause I’m no superhero It still hurts when I hit the ground I’m tired of taking the fall Well I’m no superhero at all I can’t stop a speeding train I can’t save a falling plane A bullet will shatter my vein So you and I are the same ‘Cause I’m no superhero It still hurts when I hit the ground I’m tired of taking the fall Well I’m no superhero at all (I never said I could fight or fly) ‘Cause I’m no superhero (Oh I’m no superhero) It still hurts (I can’t always defend myself) When I hit the ground (I’m just like everybody else) I’m tired (No x-ray vision or mind control) Of taking the fall (No way to prove I’m infallible) Well I’m no superhero at all

© & ℗ 2012, 2018 Craig Hallen Music Written by Craig Hallen / Adam Dauphin You're honeycomb sweet Been a pleasure to meet But go home and get off the street, boy Your flattery's nice But take her advice You're confusing your virtue with vice, boy You remembered her name All part of the game So glad it made you taste again, boy Luminous red Engulfing the bed Love and pleasure rushing to your head, boy But if it does it for ya, honey She'll play the damsel to your knight Just pretend it ain't for money If it makes ya, feel polite She'll even dim the light She'll even dim the light Fantasies flower Then they grow sour She’ll make them sweeter by the hour, boy Pinstripe suits And steel-cap boots Red-blooded men, like you in pursuit, boy So if it does it for ya, honey She'll play the damsel to your knight Just pretend it ain't for money If it makes ya feel polite She'll even dim the light She'll even dim the light She’ll even dim the light She'll even dim the light Yeah she’ll even dim the light She’ll even dim the light Oh yeah she’ll even dim the light She'll even dim the light

© & ℗ 2017 Craig Hallen Music Written by Craig Hallen / Adam Dauphin Well I packed a wish and hurled it into space ‘Cause mama told me wishes were a lie But when you first came ‘round here with your Cinderella grin I felt those empty words begin to die So I packed a wish and buried it somewhere Just to keep it sheltered from the rain And after your devotion vanished like the summer haze I dug it up and begged please explain, and it said - Hear a lesson of the wise: Dreams are a smoke and mirrors game Love is not the same on every side And happiness is only ever yesterday Yeah, happiness is only ever yesterday Well I packed a wish and drove across the world ‘Cause papa said it's all I'd ever need But every mile I travelled felt like fifty thousand more Without you on that empty vinyl seat And as the heavens laughed at my disgrace I shouldered all my destiny and turned To find you waiting for me with your Cinderella grin And armed with all the things I’d yet to learn, and you said - Hear a lesson of the wise: Dreams are a smoke and mirrors game Love is not the same on every side And happiness is only ever yesterday Hear a lesson of the wise: Those dreams are a smoke and mirrors game Love is not the same on every side And happiness is only ever yesterday Yeah, happiness is only ever yesterday

© & ℗ 2007, 2017 Craig Hallen Music Written by Craig Hallen When I saw you I suddenly felt This is what life is all about Finding someone who can Turn everything around You can brighten the darkest room With a kindness like I never knew I love you more than I could love again You give me everything You’re my baby My one and only You‘re everything that I ever wanted You always know what to say You always know what to bring You give me everything I know this love is gonna last The best times aren’t just in the past Well I would live through them again Given half the chance Feels so good to have you in my life Holding you close never felt so right The things you say I long to hear again You tell me everything You’re my baby My one and only You’re everything that I ever wanted You always know what to say You always know what to bring You give me everything I wake up every day, though I know it’s true I can’t believe that I met, a girl like you Well, when I think about, this thing we have It makes me feel so glad You’re my baby My one and only You’re everything that I ever wanted You always know what to say You always know what to bring You give me everything You’re my baby My one and only You’re everything that I ever wanted You always know what to say You always know what to bring You give me everything

© & ℗ 2012, 2016 Craig Hallen Music Written by Adam Dauphin / Peter Dobson / Craig Hallen I watch the morning wake And wrestle with the night Just like I wrestle with you in my mind These wars of independence Are never really won ‘Cause darkness robs the victory from the setting sun At the end of the day The walls will crumble, anyway At the end of the day The loser wins again You can have tomorrow And I will have today No one will surrender or give way I’ll sing you a lullaby You can sing the blues Just wait a little while and I’ll be bound to lose At the end of the day The walls will crumble, anyway At the end of the day The loser wins again I bet, you’ve listened with intent Saved it up, pretend you made it up And when, this moment comes again You will conquer me with every single word I’ve said At the end of the day The walls will crumble, anyway At the end of the day The loser wins again At the end of the day The walls will crumble, anyway At the end of the day The loser wins again

© & ℗ 2018 Craig Hallen Music Written by Craig Hallen I imagine a better place Where no one is afraid to show their face Thoughts are spoken and received with grace Like it used to be It’s a shame ‘cause the Earth is fine Will still be here after people are gone But you can’t make a leopard change its spots If it thinks nothing’s wrong Why can’t we learn from lessons of the past Instead of cuttin’ through the same old path What’s wrong with simply learning to laugh? How far more human we all would be If like the animals we could see But today is a strange reality Trudging towards a glistening sight In a desert full of fight Just another tantalizing delight That slowly dissolves Too many memories swirl around Of a time when a man could be proud Now he carries the fear of making a sound On his lonely march home Why can’t we learn from lessons of the past Instead of cutting through the same old path What’s wrong with simply learning to laugh? How far more human we all would be If like the animals we could see But today is a strange reality If we could learn to save a favourite moment And live it every day Maybe fear, anger and sorrow Would be lost along the way Why can’t we learn from lessons of the past Instead of cutting through the same old path What’s wrong with simply learning to laugh? How far more human we all would be If like the animals we could see But today is a strange reality

Crimson 04:12
© & ℗ 2013, 2015 Craig Hallen Music Written by Craig Hallen You’ve got so much to live for Your spirit hasn’t died They haven’t driven it from you Even though God knows they’ve tried I’ve seen you looking so lonesome Like someone stole your home But you’ve got a place inside you No one else can ever own So don’t fall victim To this imperfect system They don’t share the things you love But you cannot give up On your crimson Like roses in the springtime Or sunrise at Uluru The worn-out face of the contender Shows off that reddish-blue Don’t let yourself be mislead By imitations and lies Amaranth and magenta Are just a clever disguise So don’t fall victim To this imperfect system They don’t share the things you love But you cannot give up On your crimson We are born to survive But no matter how hard we try Lines in the sand will be Blown away by winds of time So don’t fall victim To this imperfect system They don’t share the things you love But you cannot give up On your crimson Crimson Your crimson

about

'Wild Dreams' is a collection of 11 original songs, and the follow-up to Craig Hallen's 2016 debut album release - ‘Fact And Fantasy’.
Recorded over a period of 24 months, ‘Wild Dreams’ reflects Craig's experience of the whole creative process. In his words, ‘Wild’ refers to both the ‘raw’ & ‘crazy’ nature of this, with ‘Dreams’ being the time when a lot of ideas have come - the word itself also being a reference to the uncertainty of success.
Working with various songwriters and musicians along the way has helped encourage Craig to produce music across a range of styles, from easy listening through to piano/keyboard-based rock/pop. There is even a nod to 1950’s rock n roll, thrown in for good measure!
